Time management as presented in this website isn’t advanced in the sense of more of the same or more time consuming procedures but wants to be advanced due to reasonable restriction and introducing provocative ideas.
Advanced time management in the sense of this site means yielding time and obtain results efficiently by lean systems, not by complicated solutions.
The Molecule concept
In comparison to a Molecule of a chemical substance as analogy, time management consists of different elements bound by certain forces to build the wholeness of a stable substance. (I know there are unstable ones too, that´s when you are not using advanced time management)
There are three elements:
T ime Info
C ontent info
Each task or Todo are composed of this three elements minimum. Advanced time management doesn’t work, if only one of them is missing.
If a task arrives at your consciousness - an instruction by your boss, an order or complaint by a customer, an arising idea or thought you want to act on, all that triggers you to go into action of whatever kinds.
As soon as you are aware of a thing to do, and decide not to say no or delegate, you are creating such a molecule:
The 1st element is description.
As the word description says, there is something to write down.
The 2 nd element is time information.
The place, where you put a note automatically represents the time information, the 2nd element. Written into a calendar already fixes a certain time and date, written into a collecting place like the Todo-list only says, that something has to be done and timing and sequence has to be accomplished.
The 3 rd element is content
The description itself normally contains or should contain an info about the content and place of detailed further content information, element 3.
Managing needs an object and an action.
The object is too defined or named by where you write down the description, it is the task- or Todo-list or the calendar/scheduler. Action is the instruction given by the description.
Having no ideas, where associated information is located, makes managing impossible too, so sufficient information has to be included in the description. The trigger released by the description is normally enough information about the location of further info, if not, add a short note.
Nothing more is needed to act. With the molecule-analogy, for instance of a gas, see a working day as container. The more molecules it has to hold, the higher will be the pressure, above a certain level equaling stress.
Acting on your daily workload is to expand this “gas” in a controlled manner into the business universe by proper dates and priorities and resulting in hopefully successful output.
Adopting “molecules” lead from chaos to order, from confusion to relaxation. From simple not questioned time management to advanced time management. After that you may go to individual lanes.
Can you imagine, that only 3 elements (description, time info, content info) suffice to get managed 80% of your tasks?
That all kinds of managing time can be traced back to 3 fundamental objects (Todo-list, calendar, filing)?
If you are able to master the basics you too will be able to manage all the personal deficits you may feel, like procrastination, lack of goals, unhandy and time wasting email handling and other examples.

The guidelines and recommendations in his site only deal with the absolute frame and basics of time management as I see it. With other words:
Setting up the leanest working environment, within which you get things done, within which you perform tasks.
Of course you should use all possible tricks and tips based on this foundation to get things done directly, better and faster, according to your very special and individual needs.
